-11 celsius - didn't stop us though!

To keep warm and to stay upright, we are donning (starting from the bottom):

  • Cavallo boots: fronts are model "Sport" and back are "Trek". Each boot has 10 Cavallo studs for extra grip – that's 40 studs keeping us upright in total. And they are brilliant! We have walked on sheer ice (imagine a just-polished ice rink) and not even a small slip (I walked on it in my shoes and I slipped).
  • Mark Todd reflective waterproof fleece-lined exercise sheet.
  • Harry Hall winter boots and Mark Todd breeches (not winter model, so wearing an underlayer).
  • Ariat waterproof Stable Team blouson jacket.
  • Equisafety Polite hi-viz vest.
  • Riding safety vest underneath - Rainbow threw some bucks on our last outing, so the vest is back in use for the winter season at least (and should probably always wear it when out, as can't choose out hacking what might be underneath you if you end up doing an unscheduled dismount!)
  • Horze neck warmer tube thingy that stretches out over the head, so can wear under the hat for warmth.
  • Orbitless bridle (nose bit) combined with Albion. Saddle, Albion too, but can't be seen.

Today is around -15 and we are planning on going out again. Happy winter season to all!
